VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
All volunteers are required you complete Virtus Training VIRTUS® Online (virtusonline.org and the *NEW* https://protectmokids.com/. Both are available online and when completed certificates need to be emailed to or dropped off at the school office. These are both diocesan requirements for volunteers in any school.
Clerical and Cafeteria Support Volunteers:
Teacher Clerical Support – set time on Wednesdays 8-10, with goal to have everything completed by EOD Wednesday. Flexible timeslot of Friday to ensure the project request are completed before the weekend.
There is a bin in the copy room with detailed instructions, but we ask volunteers to check the bin for projects. Complete projects and return the folders to the teachers.

Cafeteria – daily slots from 10:30 – 1:15 supporting teachers with lunch cards and assisting students with any lunch needs.

Health Screenings: Volunteers are needed to help provide basic health screenings (vision, hearing, etc.) to students during the school day on October 3 and 4. Please plan to arrive by 7:30 a.m. Lunch will be provided and your time is so appreciated. Please use this link to sign up.
Parent on Patrol: Half and full days available. Volunteers provide an extra presence around the school building, at recess, in the cafeteria etc. POPPS sign up
If you plan to volunteer at OLP on an ongoing basis, please read our VOLUNTEER LETTER, linked at left. It gives detailed information about the requirements that must be met within the school’s safe environment plan, and how to go about meeting those requirements. Note that the Protecting God's Children class is required only once. There is no need to repeat the class if you have already taken it.

Volunteers for Classrooms, Library and School Office: From time to time, (and, especially at the beginning of the school year), a call for help is announced in a school email; however, feel free to offer your assistance at any time.
