FLL (FIRST LEGO League) is a robotics program for children ages 9-14 years old designed to get them excited about science and technology, as well as teach them valuable employment and life skills. Through teamwork, project research, and robot game strategy, students learn and implement skills that are difficult to replicate in a classroom setting. At competition, teams are not only judged on their project idea and robot, but also on how well the team implements FLL’s Core Values. The FLL Core Values revolve around the spirit of friendly competition, Gracious Professionalism®, knowing that coaches and mentors do not have all the answers (the team learns together), and above all, having FUN!
The OLP Robotics program is open to students in 5th – 8th grades.
