Mrs. Tara Kennison

Hello! My name is Tara Kennison, and I teach 1st grade! This will be my 15th year as an elementary educator, but my 5th year here at OLP. I taught 5th grade for 12 years before moving down to teach the littles in 1st grade two years ago!  
 
I am a proud product of Catholic education, attending Catholic schools from elementary to postgraduate. Many moons ago, I attended Christ the King grade school in our Diocese as well as neighboring St. Teresa's Academy. I then received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Rockhurst University as well as a Master of Arts degree in Education from Avila University. I am very passionate about our Christian learning environment and the mission that Christ has given us to fulfill as educators to your children.
 
My husband, Aaron, and I live in south Lee’s Summit with our two daughters, Cecilia and Gracelyn, who both attend OLP. I love being so close to my girls every day, and I am very blessed to be a part of such a wonderful community here at OLP!
