Mrs. Colleen Daugherty

Hello, my name is Colleen Daugherty and I am excited to be starting my eleventh year as the Team Lab Inclusion Specialist at Our Lady of the Presentation.  I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Rockhurst University and a Master’s Degree in Special Education at Avila University.  I am passionate about reaching students at their individual level, while instilling a love for learning.  My hope is that all of my students have the tools they need to feel successful.

My husband, Darren, and I have been active parishioners at Our Lady of the Presentation for 18 years.  Our oldest daughter is a Sophomore at Loyola University, we have a Freshman and Senior at St. Michael the Archangel, and our youngest is a 7th grader at OLP.  We are a tight knit family and enjoy supporting each other at various extra curricular activities.    

Our TEAM Lab staff continues to grow and I am currently supported by 4 incredible para-educators: Kellie Burkholder, Anne Burnam, Jamie Kalwei, Alex Ostrander and Mary Schafer.  They all hold a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Education.  Luisa Pagnani will be supporting Mrs. Daugherty with administrative work when she is not teaching Spanish.  Katie Meiners is the lead educator of our Explorers and Jr. Explorers programs.  As a team, we work very closely to best support the students, teachers and parents here at Our Lady of the Presentation.  I wholeheartedly believe that  each of us possess special talents and gifts which can be shared with the OLP community and beyond.  It is my hope that through partnering with teachers and parents, we can deliver a program that meets the needs of the children with whom we are entrusted.
