Mrs. Dawn Surmeier

Welcome!  My name is Dawn Surmeier and this will be my eleventh year teaching at Presentation.  I am very excited about this year and getting to know each of our incoming kindergarteners.  I have been blessed at Presentation in having been able to teach second grade, first grade, and kindergarten.  This will be my ninth year at the kindergarten level.  Before Presentation, I taught pre-school and first grade.  I studied education at George Mason University in Virginia and graduated with a degree in early education.  After moving to Missouri, I attained certification in K-6th.

Originally from the Washington D.C. area, my family moved to Missouri 21 years ago.  I have two grown children, one which resides in Dallas, Texas and my daughter resides in Massachussetts.  I have one amazing grandson  who just turned one.  During my free time, I enjoy spending time  walking my dog, reading, being with friends, doing crafts and playing games.
I am extremely excited to begin this year and help each child know they have an amazing God who loves and cares for them as well as to inspire each child to grow in love for God, others, and learning.
