I am thrilled to be the Religion and Social Studies teacher at Our Lady of the Presentation. I love History, World Cultures and Current events. The students will learn about and develop an awareness of the world around them. I feel blessed to be able to teach Religion. As a class, we will share our faith filled lives with one another every day. I hope to inspire your child to grow in the love of the Lord while learning the foundations of the Catholic faith.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Avila University and I am certified in grades 1-8.
I also have a Masters in Education from Lindenwood University in St. Louis.
I previously taught in the Independence School District, grades 3rd and 5th. While in 5th grade I was responsible for the Science Fair and the DARE program.
This will be my 10th year at OLP, I previously taught in the library before teaching 6th grade. Before that I was a parent and a volunteer here. All my four children went through school here, so this is like home for me.
My husband and I have been married for 25 years and we have 4 children. All four of my children attended OLP. My oldest son, Anthony, graduated from Creighton University. My second son, Vincent, will be a junior at Rockhurst University. My daughter Liliana, will be a freshman at KU. My youngest son, Joseph, is attending Rockhurst High School as a junior.
When we are not attending their sporting events or choir concerts we enjoy being outside. We love to be out on the boat or swimming in the pool with our extended family members.
