4th Grade Rocks!!
Hello!! I am Kathy Coleman, the fourth grade teacher. I am a motivated, enthusiastic Catholic educator with 30 + years of experience in fostering cohesive student learning. I have taught both 5th grade and 4th grade. This age is AMAZING!!
I am an organized teaching professional, who encourages active participation in a fun learning environment. I have my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Avila University and partner with them throughout the school year, helping the education department.
I am an active member of St. Thomas More Parish. I enjoy all sports, especially volleyball, football, and baseball. I enjoy reading and traveling. My favorite books include Harry Potter and A Wrinkle in Time.
My family consists of my two dogs, Hosmer and Clover, and my two cats, Bonnie and Clyde. Hosmer, my Great Dane, was rescued from Nebraska. She was shot in the ear before I got her so she is very timid. She stays home and guards the cats. Bonnie is mischievious and Clyde was born with three legs and rules our home. They stay home and entertain themselves while I work.
Clover, the OLP comfort dog, is being fostered at my home. She comes to work with me and her kennel is in my room, however, she is very often out and about "working" with the children. She is now part of two families, OLP's and my home family. We love her!!
Every year, I consider the students that are in my classes to be my children, so this year I have 63 children ! I enjoy coming to work every day!!
