Grade 3 - Mrs. Carmen Bisacca

Welcome to 3rd grade! I would like to introduce myself. This is my 19th year at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic School. I previously worked at Our Lady of Peace Catholic School for 5 years. I taught 2nd grade for 3 years and a 1st/2nd multi-age classroom for 2 years. Before OLP, I worked for Lee’s Summit School District. I worked with the 1st and 2nd-grade students, focusing on remedial reading and math for the Title 1 program. I also worked at two State Schools for children with disabilities, as well as IBS Industries Sheltered Workshop (now called Job One). At IBS, I was the Program Manager for 8 years. I attended a Catholic elementary and Catholic high school. I received my Teaching Certification and a BA in Psychology from Avila University.

I was honored in 2010 by receiving the Sisters of Charity Teacher of the Year Award at Our Lady of the Presentation. In 2014 I was awarded the Alumni Service Award and the Dear Neighbor Award in 2021  from Avila University. I served on the  Alumni Board for three years.

I live in Lee’s Summit with my husband. I have two children.  My daughter and her husband were married at Presentation in 2022.  My son is in college. My family celebrates Mass at Our Lady of the Presentation.
