  • A Pastoral response to covid 19

Please know of my continued prayers for all of you in these uncertain and anxious times. While our ability to gather together as a community for worship and our various ministries is limited at this time, let’s remember the importance of staying connected through our faith and prayers. Keeping everyone safe and healthy is also a priority, so we are sending the following updates based on the new protocols from our public officials and our diocese. We will make changes as needed.

    • All weekday and weekend Masses will not be celebrated publicly through at least April 23. Fr. Tom and Fr. Olvin will continue to celebrate daily Mass and weekend Mass privately.
    • You can view the Gospel and homily from weekday Mass and the entire weekend Mass from Presentation by going to our website – www.olpls.org. You can also access other prayer resources through our website. There is a beautiful picture of our worship space on the home page of our website that you can also look at during your personal prayer time at home.
    • All of our regular ministry meetings, classes, and programs are cancelled until further notice.
    • At this time, and please note this may change again, the church will be open for private prayer from 10am-2pm M-F and 10am-Noon Saturday and Sunday. You can only enter through the north church entrance far right door. Please observe social distancing guidelines and refrain from touching surfaces. The church will be monitored through our video cameras.
    • Confessions will be offered Monday and Wednesday from 5-6pm and Saturday from 3:30-4:30pm. Access to church is through the north entrance far right door. These will be held outside the confessional to follow recommended guidelines. Again, please observe social distancing if others are present.
    • The Parish Office staff will continue to be available through phone calls and emails, but the Office will not be open for physical access. Please be sure to call the office with any needs or questions. You can also use the drop box in the glass entry area. In case of emergency, our answering service will continue to answer after hours calls.
    • PLEASE continue your contributions to the parish and our Capital Campaign by using our ONLINE GIVING option on the parish website, or by mailing or dropping off your contribution to the Parish Office. We especially appreciate your support in these difficult times.
    • Please be sure to check our website, Facebook page, and Constant Contacts for regular updates. Our parish staff can also be contacted by phone or email if you need information.

We will do our best to stay connected with you in these challenging times. Let us keep one another in prayer and especially pray for all those affected by the coronavirus and all those putting themselves on the frontlines of care. During these times when many people feel isolated, it is more important than ever to stay in contact with our families, friends, and neighbors, especially the elderly.

    Many Blessings,
    Fr. Tom
