Grade 2 - Mrs. Maureen Van Becelaere

Hi, my name is Maureen Van Becelaere.  I am proud to say I have been in Catholic schools my entire life.  I went to St. Elizabeth's grade school, St. Teresa's Academy, and I received my B.A. in Elementary Education from Benedictine College.   I am beginning my 19th year teaching second graders here at Our Lady of the Presentation.  Before coming to Presentation, I taught third grade for eleven years at Christ the King.
 
My husband, Paul is an instructor for sheet metal apprentices.  We have two wonderful sons. Derek graduated from Mizzou in May and will be beginning his first year of law school at Washington University in St. Louis.  Shawn is a junior at Mizzou, majoring in communications.
I love to spend time with my family and friends.  I love to read and I love sports.  I am a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, Sporting Kansas City, the Missouri Tigers, and the Presentation Panthers!
 
I love second graders and I am looking forward to another wonderful year here at Presentation!
